PROGRAMS

Nido/Infant (6 weeks until mobile) Program

Our infant program is designed to help our Little Geniuses grow and develop in an environment that is safe and challenging. Everything in the classroom is low to the ground allowing all materials by the infant to be easily accessible for advanced development. The setting in the classroom gives infants the structure and support while giving them the freedom to develop & experiment their focus/attention to concentrate. We encourage the atmosphere to be fun and educational at the same time.

Toddler I (12 to 24 months) & Toddler II (2 years to 3 years) Programs

Our toddler programs are designed to empower our children to develop into complete Little Geniuses capable of independence, coordination, movement and will. Our environment is built for engagement while maintaining a balance of challenge and support.  The Teacher is able to assist but continuously observes each child’s development and activities of choice. The classroom is a positive and secure setting that encourages the toddler’s development of concentration and language.  Functional independence is practiced daily including toileting and shoes.  Our children wear underwear as soon as they are mobile.

Primary (3 years through Kindergarten)

Our Primary preschool program is designed to empower our Little Geniuses to develop their independence, respect for others and control their own destiny. The classroom environment allows for the development of each child’s unique personality and focused niche. Children learn through active participation, with a hands-on-approach emphasis. The atmosphere encourages participation with all educational materials being presented in a natural pattern of development. Each child is inspired to explore their inner motivation to grow and learn.

Additional Information

Giving

Children at Little Genius Montessori give back to the community throughout the year.  One of their favorite community service projects is washing potatoes and wrapping them in tin foil to be baked for the homeless.  During the holidays, children make homemade pies and cookies to be given to their family and friends.

Gardening

Each child watches the process from seed to bloom.  Once the seedling develops enough, the child transfers the seed into a garden area.  The responsibility of watering the seed and watching the plant grow gives the child a deeper understanding of the growth process and how they influence the cycle.
